In This Issue:
Welcome!
My Weirdness Gone Wild
Weirdness Gone Wild Spotlight:. Francis the Healer
About Me. . .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Weirdness Gone Wild Vision
The vision of Weirdness Gone Wild is to bring together different communities of thought and practice, for seekers and non-seekers, for healers and those who might be ready to try alternatives to conventional ways of healing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Weirdness Gone Wild Purpose
The purpose of Weirdness Gone Wild is three-fold. One is to create a network for sharing wisdom, experience, practices, and questions. Whether you've been on a seeker'spath for 20 years or are just starting to look at life a little differently, everyonehas questions along the way. And shared experiences are the best way to gain insight. I'm creating a blog to publish on-going questions, comments and experiences.
The second purpose is to create a Network of Partnerships in services, organizations, private practices and causes - all kinds of services - that is more active and interactive than just placing an ad in a magazine, kind of like an email Craig's list with stories. Like my friend Leesa said, she would rather find a plumber through a network of like-minded people than to randomly pick one out of the phone book. If you want to post your service, contact me. If you're looking for a service that's not on the list, contact me and I'll try to find it for you. This month's Service Directory is a sampling of how it will look in the future. And if everyone forwards the newsletter to their mailing lists for folks to respond directly to me for subscription, we can co-create this partnership.
The last purpose is my personal goal of generating extra income by listing the services I offer. This was the initial seed that sprouted the WeirdnessGone Wild newsletter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Check out the Events Listings and Service Directory at the bottom! Contact me ifyou would like your business or service to be included in the next newsletter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pass It On! I am asking and encouraging everyone to pass this newsletter on to your contact lists. The way to truly create a community Network Of Partnerships is through active involvement and communication. Share the Network!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Online Now! Weirdness Gone Wild Blog! Share your questions, experiences, insights between newsletters. Http://Weirdnessgonewild.vox.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Welcome !!
Welcome to volume 1 of Weirdness Gone Wild! I know that, with the paths I've traveled off and on over the years, there's some pretty wild stuff that I've experienced and the adventure gets better every day. I've decided to start a newsletter to share some of the weirdness, not because I'm aching to spill it all, but because I know a lot of other people are experiencing the same Weirdness Gone Wild. And it's also for those who might be ready to add a little Weirdness Gone Wild into their lives. Each newsletter I will also highlight a local area practitioner, organization and event, as well as include a directory of services in hopes of creating a Network of Partnerships of like-minded folks in Austin. Feedback, questions and experiences submitted by readers will also be featured in future editions. And like the slogan"Keep Austin Weird", Weirdness Gone Wild is about good weirdness, about things that we experience along our journey that are sometimes beyond our wildest imaginations,where weirdness is truth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Weirdness Gone Wild
My first story involves spiritual multi-tasking, also known as 'how to keep boredom at bay driving to Houston every weekend.' Well, that's easy. Just do a past life regression meditation while you're driving down Highway 290 and doing distance healing energy work on a friend that lives in that area. Yes, this gives highway hypnosis a whole new meaning. I drive to Houston most weekends to visit my mom in a nursing home.
This particular weekend about six months ago, I was listening to a set of CDs on Edgar Cayce who is known as the Sleeping Prophet. (www.edgarcayce.org) In sessions in the early and mid 1900's Cayce, while in a trance-like state, provided folks with information on health issues and remedies, and their past lives. My years as a breathworker have taught me how to go into an altered state of dual consciousness in a heartbeat, and all of my drives to Houston have taught me how to just barely alter that state while driving. (Don't try this!!)
On this particular drive, I experienced three different past life memories, two during the meditation and another one afterward. In this past life memory, I was the 2nd son of the head of a clan in Scotland around the 14th or 15th century. My older brother had been groomed all of his life to be the head of the clan when my father died. He was big and strong and mighty with long tangled reddish brown hair. I was a little smaller, also strong, with long tangled black hair and I was not mighty. I didn't have to be - I was the 2nd son. We lived in kind of a castle-like fortified structure in the Highlands. My father died, and just as my brother was to take over as head of the clan, he was killed. So that left me in charge. The people trusted my brother to protect them and to lead them, and they didn't have much faith in my ability, thought I was too faint of heart. But, I turned out to be a good leader. Strangely enough, I led from the heart rather than solely with might. And it worked, and I ended up with the support of my clan. Corny, but that's how it unfolded.
So, my burning questions about all of this are - Is it a memory? Is it imagination?Is it fantasy? How can this entire episode, many details of which I left out in thedescription, come to the surface in the real time span of about 10 minutes? And itfelt no different than any other memory or recalled event that I might think aboutwhile driving down the road.
This kind of Weirdness Gone Wild experience and others that are just as weird have been happening for a long time. Last week I had a Weirdness Gone Wild experience that if I'd been a psychiatrist, I might've had myself committed for being delusional. I might not know what this Weirdness Gone Wild is all about, but I do know one thing. I'm not crazy, and it's very real.
Recently I told someone that typically I'm a very logical rational person, I'm just a logical rational person that's had some extremely weird experiences for many many years. My boss says that I'm 'woo woo' yet practical. I spent many successful years in the corporate workforce, in a very linear and analytical environment, and I worked well in that environment even though it's not my preference. My personal philosophy is that the only thing I know for sure is that I don't know anything for sure.
Weirdness Rocks!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Weirdness Gone Wild Spotlights: Francis Campone
http://www.francisthehealer.com/
Where do I start writing about Francis the Healer and my experiences with him as my healer and teacher? I'd had a sticky pad note with his name and number on my computer at work for 2 months, and when I started hearing about him through totally unrelated groups, decided that was my guidance to see what Francis was all about.

My first impression when I saw him was 'wow, he's young'. And then, 'oh my God, he's my age.' (I'm 50) It would take four email newsletters to begin to describe his talents and power as a healer and teacher. And four more to describe the amazing journey my life has been on since starting the classes and healing sessions with him four months ago. A journey that's been a warp speed roller coaster ride - the manifesting of creative ideas and outlets, the change in other people's response to me, the visions during meditation, the memories (who knows whose memories besides mine I'm accessing??), the synchronicities, not to mention the physical and emotional healing. And the list goes on. And this journey has been the inspiration for "Weirdness Gone Wild." Francis, a native of Scotland, has been healing through hands on energy work internationally for 20 years, and started healing when he was four years old. He has been successful in curing people of every kind of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual condition including cancer, tumors, MS, fibromyalgia, diabetes, epilepsy, autism, deafness, back pain, allergies, arthritis, Lyme disease, migraines, depression, sexual abuse, etc. I personally think that within five years, most medical doctors will at least grudgingly acknowledge the healing power of energy work, and within ten years, most doctors will incorporate energy work into their practice or referrals.

When I walked into my first Monday night healing class with Francis, I walked into a room packed with around 300 people. And it was like a Who's Who of Austin area healers and seekers. The class, geared toward all levels, encompasses a whole spectrum of students – those who are just starting their path of exploration and healing, and those who've been on the path for many years, and it has an equally profound affect on everyone I've talked to.

On Friday, August 3rd, Francis will present his First Friday August lecture on "OpeningYour Heart to Love and Bliss", which will include a lecture and group healing. Healings and classes with Francis have shown me how bliss is possible even in the midst of chaos, and how to see beyond that chaos. Plus he makes me laugh. For more information on his healing sessions and lecture, check out his website -

Recently she conducted a one-day workshop on Destiny vs. Fate and how empowering and freeing moving toward Destiny, rather than Fate, is.
